In this workshop we will be playing with the magnificent Bangalow palm inflorescence, which is the seed carrier from this native Australian tree.
You will have the choice to make a random weave style basket or alternatively you might prefer to tackle the lattice weave technique to create a wall piece. As we run small group workshops we can tailor the learning to you
Our inflorescence is freshly fallen, and once prepared is deliciously soft and supple for weaving. We will construct using a random weave method, as always the material and your creativity will determine yourfinal shape. Weaving from natural fibres donated by Mother Nature is such a humbling and rewarding experience as you create a decorative and functional item using just your hands.
You will go away with your own 'wow factor' creation.
