In this workshop we will be playing with the magnificent Bangalow palm inflorescence, which is the seed carrier from this native Australian tree.
Our inflorescence is freshly fallen, and once prepared is deliciously soft and supple for weaving. We will construct our baskets using a random weave method and set out to make a classic spherical shape, but as always the material and your creativity will determine the final shape. Weaving from natural fibres donated by Mother Nature is such a humbling and rewarding experience as you create a decorative and functional item using just your hands.
You will go away with your own 'wow factor' creation.
