From permaculture to slow clothing: Active citizens have something valuable to say.

One of the most obvious critiques of buying quality over quantity is that ‘not everyone can afford to’ - this is true, so the ones amongst us that can do better - should. Where there is room for a foundational shift is in personally waking up to your own level of scarcity consciousness - most of us have an enourmous capacity for re-evaluating worthiness and when we do this we bring our attention to what we have rather than what we lack, and when we do this - our choices change.

It can feel difficult to wholeheartedly celebrate anything at the moment, humans are relational beings, we need each other to thrive, but Covid19, the climate crisis, systematic bias, inequity, are on a growing list of anxiety inducing triggers that all have the potential to make many of our essential life exchanges problematic.

Mindfulness and Meditation: Enjoy our free meditations

There are many available forms of mindfulness and meditation, each with some variation to help us expand our consciousness and bring a sense of connectedness to our lives. Mindfulness and meditation is a universal practice to help ease mental, emotional and physical stress, the most valuable part is that it is freely available to everybody, suitable to everybody, and for the most part, just requires intention and breath, very little else!  Here at The Possibility Project, we facilitate weekly meditation classes and our teachings are based on insight meditation. We take a topic of general interest, that is, a life theme that we might all associate with, we have a shared 'conversation' regarding how our conditioning, beliefs, cultures and customs might play...

Catherine McAuley Alumnae Award for service. Acceptance speech.

Kim was awarded the Catherine McAuley Alumnae Award for 2020, this is part of her acceptance speech. We hope this serves as a reminder that often in the finding of one's purpose, one will naturally lose things too.
